Doomsday Preppers Episode Afterthoughts: It’s All Gonna Hit The Fan

During last night’s Doomsday Preppers episode on NatGeo, we were introduced to three families who were definitely worth watching. If you watched, you will understand where I am coming from with this. The first family gave us a good look at what a SHTF situation would mean to our country’s main supply artery; truckers. I truly enjoyed this as it seems he really does have his preparedness plan in order. One statement he made really struck home, was that we need to get this country back to what it used to be. He is absolutely correct!!

Doomsday Preppers Episode Afterthoughts: Back To The Stone Age

So last night, NatGeo provided us with another installment of Doomsday Preppers. This episode was appropriately named Back to the Stone Age. Of course the guests were from different backgrounds and were prepping for different SHTF situations. As with the previous episodes, you have everyone in different parts of the country and each possess different resources. I agree with this and it gives the viewers tips on what they can do to prepare, but once again, I am a little disappointed with how the show went.

Should Preppers Advertise?

This seems to be the question since the premier of Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic. With folks from different walks of life, they all share the same goal of preparing for the worst. I am an advocate of educating folks on how to prepare and what skills may save their loved ones some day. But I do not tell everyone that I prep and I try hard to hide the fact that I do. With the recent media blurbs about the show, it seems things might change.

National Geographic Doomsday Preppers: Premier Afterthoughts

So last night was the premier of two episodes of Doomsday Preppers on NatGeo. Each episode gave the viewer a look into the prepping lifestyles of different folks who prepare for different SHTF scenarios. Each person (or family) they interviewed, provided information on what they did to prepare. Once they explained most of their preps, the show’s “experts” would provide feedback as to how effective the person’s preparedness program would be in an actual SHTF situation.
