In preparation for tonight’s show American Blackout on NatGeo, we thought we would share this information from a well known source on the effects of an EMP blast. While it is not clear as to why the power goes out in American Blackout, we figure this may be one cause of what happens on the show. So we hope you are able to tune in tonight and see NatGeo’s perspective on an event like this.

We just got a heads up from the folks at NatGeo about their new movie American Blackout, premiering on October 27th at 9:00 p.m. ET.  No phones. No lights. No running water. What would you do if the whole country went dark and you didn’t know if or when the power would be coming back?

As you recall from last year, we were honored with having the opportunity to review some of the episodes of Season 1 of Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic Channel. This season looks like it is going to be very good. With all the recent chatter out there, people are becoming more interested in Prepping. So I am sure the folks at NatGeo will have some goodness for us.

Last night we have had the pleasure of viewing another installment of Doomday Preppers on NatGeo Channel. This episode titled, “Disaster Doesn’t Wait”, featured three families preparing for a specific disaster scenario. This review will be short as I was not impressed by this episode. I was disappointed as each episode has provide something new or cool, but the only interesting bit of information was the couple who drank their own urine.

No matter how many times you watch Doomsday Preppers on NatGeo, you can never get enough. Whether we are talking about beans or bullets; it is always interesting to see how others prep. This episode was interesting because the three families shown were alike in many ways. Though each was preparing for a different SHTF scenario, they shared similarities.

If you have not heard by now, but Doomsday Preppers on NatGeo is the hot topic of social media regarding preppers. We were treated to a new episode last night and you will agree it was interesting. Some folks bash the show, but I believe it is only because they don’t fully understand it. I will explain later.
