Close Quarters Battle And You

The recent episode of Doomsday Preppers has sparked a lot of controversy and with that comes questions. When you conduct drills for any part of your preparedness program, how creative are you? How many different scenarios do you drill or plan for? Our seasoned readers may have a plan(s) in place, but we also want to give our new readers and preppers some insight on how to improve their preparedness plan.

You can spend countless hours searching the Internet looking for information on ways to protect your home or bug out location. Whether you see videos, books, or illustrations on tactics but does this really help you in the long run? I’m not knocking anyone or their system, but I am a strong advocate of getting out there and executing effective drills that will give you one up on the bad guys.

Your home, family, and friends are the most important assets you have. So these need to be protected at all costs. Everything and anything you can think of.

Much of this depends on your location. So ask yourself these questions; do I live in an area where I would be unsafe in a WROL situation? Can my family or group effectively defend our location? Lastly, what if you had to rescue a friend or family member in a bad situation? I’m asking these questions to provoke some thought. Check out this video of a training facility with Instructor James Yeager:

While this may be something you don’t have immediate access to, but you can always improvise. As always, we love to hear your thoughts on this.
