Mass shooting in Aurora movie theater

I woke up to this news today. Folks cannot even attend a movie without having to deal with a tragedy like this. Our readers need to have situational awareness wherever you go. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families of this horrible tragedy.

AURORA – Ten people are dead after a shooting at the Century 16 Movie Theaters at the Aurora Town Center.

There were at least 39 people injured to Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates.

Nicole Williams, with Swedish Medical Center, says the hospital was allerted to a mass casualty incident at 1:15 a.m. Friday.

Williams says the hospital was told to prepare for up to 20 more patients.

According to witnesses, the shooter kicked in the emergency exit door in theater 9, threw some sort of disorienting smoke bomb and started shooting.

Update: It is being reported that 14 lives have been lost and 50 people have been injured.

  1. And the anti-gun vultures pounce, so I’ve herd.

My prayers go out to all affected by this and every act of violence.

There is a curious voice that makes me wonder how much of this could of been mitigated had there been a pistol carrier or two at the scene?

    /facepalm

    • Hey Wolf,

You and I both know that there would have been fewer injured or killed if the law abiding citizens were armed. The coward would have been neutralized and some folks would be alive today. But the gun grabbing folks want to keep the good people of this country disarmed so they can be sitting ducks for the criminals who will have guns anyway. It is just ridiculous.
