Doomsday Preppers Episode Sneak Peek: Nine Meals Away From Anarchy

The kind folks at Nat Geo Channel have given us the opportunity to preview the upcoming installment of Doomsday Preppers: Nine Meals Away From Anarchy. Though I have been following this season of Doomsday Preppers as you can see by my review of last week’s episode here, I was honored and eager to see where the season was headed. Once I received my “top secret” copy of this episode; I could not get it into the DVD player quick enough.

Before I give you a sneak peak into the upcoming episode; which of course airs this Tuesday, March 6th. I wanted to give you a little preface on the Doomsday Preppers season. If you have been following or just started to watch the series, we have seen various forms of prepping or preparedness from different families or individuals. The one aspect I like about the show is that it allows the viewer to come to their own conclusion in regards to each guest’s reason for prepping or how they prepare.

The show presents preppers in a positive light and provides information to help explain what is being discussed. At the end of each episode, there are expert assessments of each guest’s preparedness program and they are provided with suggestions on how to improve their respective preparedness programs. We are also provided with an overview of what the chances are that the particular event these folks prepare for would actually happen.

Now onto the sneak peak into this episode. I am not going to give you any spoilers, so no spoiler alert will be issued. In this episode, Nine Meals Away From Anarchy, we meet:

  • Mike Mester and his family, preparing for civil unrest
  • Preston White, preparing for radiation exposure
  • Riley Cook, preparing for a polar shift

Mike Mester and his family take prepping very seriously. I was very impressed with their preps and the methods they are using to prepare. You will need to watch this for yourself in order to truly appreciate it. From a great long term food supply to providing their dogs with professional attack training; I was actually on the edge of my seat with this one. Have I gotten your attention yet? Keep reading.

Now Preston White is an interesting character. I will not tell you exactly how many different types of seeds Preston has in his possession (you will need to watch to find out), but I will say it is amazing. This will make you think. Even though I understand his concerns and what he is preparing for, I do have some questions in regards to his plans.

Last we visit with Riley Cook who is preparing for a catastrophic pole shift. My jaw hit the floor with what Riley has done in order to prepare his family for this event. Now you are wondering what is he referring to? All I can say is that a lot of thought and creativity has gone into Riley’s preps and you will not be disappointed.

In conclusion; I was very satisfied with this episode. As stated earlier, I do feel this places preppers and preparedness in a positive light and allows folks to learn about preparing themselves and others for whatever disaster or event may come their way. So tune in on Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, and let us know your thoughts about this episode. Find out more about Doomsday Preppers here.
